conemaugh Native Join Date: Jul 2009 Location: East Cobb, Marietta, GA Posts: 132	Thanks... I appreciate your input. I own an 8'4" 3 wt rod (Scott G2) and a 9' 5wt (Orvis Clearwater II). I'm thinking I need to buy a 6'6" St Croix Avid 4 wt for Smith's and other small streams. I've read good reports on this and other boards on St Croix fly rods.
