This little snippet from Benvan on the "Tournament Fishing" thread got me wondering - How do you determine what bugs the fish may be eating when you approach a stream?

My lack of experience in this area has me pretty much just picking out something that looks good to ME at the moment. How do you narrow it down to what is actually available naturally in the stream?
