Default Fun at the Hollow.

Got a chance to go fish frog hollow last week and here are a few fish from the day. I finished with 30+ fish with the biggest being around 26 inches or so. My arm is still sore from that fight. Big thanks to Kenny Simmons for his hospitality. His daughter was fishing with him and she caught a 20+ incher on the long rod. Like father like daughter.

Disclaimer: Trout was only on grass long enough for photo.

WOW ! Looks like a great time. I am going to have to make it up there sometime soon when time and money allow. Prowler I will have to get you to show me your nymphing technique sometime.

Sounds good mike.

Oleman, I have never had a bad visit to Frog Hollow. I thought this one was going to be. Got there early in the morning and for about the first hour and a half I didn't have a single hit. The water was slightly stained and I figured I was in for a long day but as soon as I caught the first one, they started getting active and fishing was great from then on. My arms were killing me at the end of the day. Over 30 frog hollow fish on a 3wt will put a hurting on your arms.

I'm surprised they let you fish with a 3 wt, those are some nice fish.

These Euronymph rods are really stout in the butt section and can easily handle big fish. The extra length helps too. The Echo Shadow 3wt 10'6" is like a 5 wt with a 3 wt tip.
