I hope y'all didn't get rained out! We had a good time testing everything until the bottom fell out and we had to take cover under the Roswell road bridge. No real fishing done on our end though the bait fisherman I saw said they were having some luck.

I did see a Riverhawk looking boat headed upstream in the middle of the rain carrying two brave passengers in panchos...I hope they were rewarded for their dedication...

We pulled a "NASA" and called the launch on account of some really serious lookin' red cells on the radar that were gittin' a might bit too close. However, there is a second launch window that we're currently eye-ballin'.

Ya know. . . It turned out to be a purty good day after all. Thelearner (I still ain't got enny idear where someone come up with a name lahk Thele Arner) did hisse'f purty well raht today. He done run that little ol' River Hawk 13-er nigh on as fur as it'd go in today's conditions, an' he got hisse'f a couple of good fishes on top of all that!

We were fortunate to run across "Jet Boat Jerry" as he come a-screamin' down the river. He pulled up shy of us an' made mention that he'd had a decent day of it an' was a-headin' home to clean an' cook up a decent little pile of 'bows. Back off down river he run! . . .

Then I look up the river an' see a 'nuther 'luminum craft head raht fer us!

I hollered, "Look out, Meaux!" but 'tweren't no use. The other craft had done slowed down an' approached our for'ard port bow as we was a-driftin'. 'Tweren't nuthin' to fear though, fer 'twas Fishmonger an' a new passenger in the S.S. Minnow comin' on down river t'ward us as they had done wore out a whole slough of trout givin' 'em the sore lips!

Yes sir, 'twas a good day on the river fer us all, in despite of the fack that Thele Arner done outfished me an' Meaux four ways to nex' Sunday! (Don't never trust a Miss'ippi State grad' over nobody 'ceptin' an Ole Missus grad! They'll sand-bag you good an' proper, then they'll git on a good fishin' hole an' BAM! You're left out in the cold, castin' t'ward empty water.) The young Jedi, Thele Arner, did a really good job at runnin' the 'Hooch from Abbotts up t'ward Suwanee Crick. If'n we'd started earlier, I have no doubt that he'd have been a natural fer scootin' raht on through the skinny water at "firewalk" on his firstest attempt.

'Tis a shame that DDF, Trouty, an' Jakal weren't able to join us today. The NGTO Confed'rate Navy has done grown by at least one. We'll call his addition (which Josh calls Li'l Rascal) "PT-109".

This means that thus far, the NGTO Confed'rate Navy consists of one LSU Tiger, one South Carolina Gamey Chicken, one Georgia Bulldawg, an Auburnt Tiger, a big, red pachyderm from Alabamastan, a Georgia Tech Yaller Jackit, an' a Miss'ippi State Bulldawg. No repeats yet on college allegiances. This means we need a couple more LSU Tigers to back me up afore an Ole Missus Rebel decides to join up an' taint the group.

Shor was good to add another fahn member to the group today!

Glad to have you aboard, Josh!

I'm glad y'all made it out today! And congrats on the fishing success!! It was a beautiful day...just a little warm once the sun got up in the sky.

We took a ride down to Bull Sluice and threw at the warm water species. No luck, but I've never really done that kind of fishing before, so we had no idea what we were doing. Somehow its still fun though...I'm loving the boat!

Also, I'm really anxious to try out some other locations but don't know the areas very well...if anyone in the infamous NGTO navy is willing to let me follow their prop wash around the river, I'll buy lunch and beer! Besides, y'all are clearly missing representation from Florida State and I'm not sure I can allow that to continue........

Looking forward to meeting more of y'all in the NGTO Navy next time.

SA, post pictures and video when you get a chance or email them to me. Also, did you find that TM mount?

Swampy, you know if an Oxford Jr. College fan goes fishing they carry a can of worm and have to have someone with them to bait their hook and take off any fish they happen to catch. Besides, I'm pretty sure J. Crew does not make fishing attire.
