Default Spring Camping/Fishing Trip

Me and a couple of buddies are planning a hiking/camping trip in May. We're looking to do a short, 3-day 2-night, trip near Asheville (or somewhere between Atl and Raleigh). I have a few trails and campsites bookmarked, but was wondering if anyone had suggestions for locations where we can add fishing to our itinerary. We won't be doing a ton of fishing, but I figured I can catch dinner while we're out.

Thanks and tight lines!

Default hiking/fishing

the Chattooga river has been a decent fishing destination for me over the years, and is really gorgeous. A little closer to ATL than the half way point b/w Atlanta and Raleigh.

Fishing is always good west of Asheville. Search for wild streams and you won't be disappointed. Rubber legs - midge droppers.

Default One Option

Take a look at the Cataloochee area on the east side of GSMNP.
