I will echo the simms fingerless gloves. In my experience, your hand WILL get wet. So a pair of gloves that insulate even when wet is nessisary. That is why I use wool. You also have the ability to use the wool glove as a liner, and then go with the simms exstream foldover for wind protection and added warmth.

The last pair of half finger wool gloves I found was at ACE Hardware...They were like 8 bones...

NO!

I use thin wool fingerless, thick wool fingerless, and a Simms fingerless. None are perfect. I've given up and bought a muff!

Man, that's a good deal. Better than buying locally ..... no sales tax and no gas money. Thanks for the tip!
