Default RTIC / YETI Cooler hacks

RTIC cooler hacks.

And I suppose these would work on YETI as well, with the correct YETI parts.

The first hack is a way to keep your cooler drain plug from wandering off. Insert a plastic wine cork (or rubber stopper) into the plug and drill a small hole all the way through the cork. Poke a zip tie through the hole and keep it in a long loop. Then pinch the the zip tie and insert through then cooler plug hole and tighten the plug as normal. You can then unscrew the plug and the zip tie keeps it in place. (After taking the first photo I decided two zip ties would work better but a longer, single tie would work just as well. I didn't have any.)

The second hack is to use wheels (these coolers are heavy, especially if loaded). The wheels came from Chilly Wheelies on Etsy.

The third hack (and as shown on the CW site) is to use a ratchet rope to both hold the wheels in place and to move the cooler.

Have fun!

I guess this is a Walmart hack - do like my brother and put a Yeti sticker on a Walmart cooler. He swore it kept ice better.

Bfish I deleted your post because it violates the board’s profanity rules. Plus, without the profanity the link doesn't work.

Best bet, sell the Yeti or RTIC cooler and get one of the Ozark Trails like Jerry has or go with a Pelican Cooler. Bout half the price of a Yeti but has all the features already embedded in it.
