Default Great Morning - New to the Community

Great Morning All!

I recently stumbled onto this community as I was trying to search for local trout streams to me in Kennesaw. Happy I did - It looks like a solid group of individuals! Less happy that it seems there is not really anything to fish this far West.

I am relatively new to Fly Fishing (~2 yrs) so literally everything I know has come from the wisdom shared from Willie at Fly Box Outfitters and some Fly Fishers that have taken pity on me on the Hooch below the dam.

Looking forward to contributing to the community. Hopefully I see you out there on the Hooch or the Toccoa.

Willie is a great resource. You could do a whole lot worse. He’s a great guy.

Keep in mind that the delayed harvest section of the Chattahoochee will be running through May 14. Just head down I-75 and check out Powers Mill, Cochran Shoals, Paces Mill, and Whitewater Creek for some good fly fishing over the next few months.

There’s also the Fly Fishing Show at Gwinnett Arena between Duluth and Lawrenceville next weekend. Lots of good people to meet and information to acquire there!

And finally, welcome to NGTO!
If you have difficulty understanding the post above, read it out loud and it should make sense. This NGTO member is known for his poor hill-billy upbringing and his affinity for all things from Louisiana (particularly if it relates to LSU). It makes for a poor mix of accents and much difficulty in translation. He was doing well for so long, but now seems to have regressed.

The Swampmeister failed to mention our Spring Fling coming up in April, the first Saturday I believe. A day set aside for trout bums and river pirates to come together, swap lies (fishing conquests), and share some great food.

Welcome to our little corner of the www world!

Exodus 29:18
Then burn the entire ram on the altar. It is a burnt offering to the LORD, a pleasing aroma, a food offering presented to the LORD. God loves BBQ!
