Default Late July/Early August Report

Just a few pictures, and fewer words. At this time of year, it helps to bring a long spinning and casting gear.
Red Fish on the fly: Ok on low tide in the morning. Flood tide in the grass: outstanding
Bait and Fly:
Trout: Good and getting better
Triple Tail: Excellent on markers, good off Jekyll. I caught a big on off a marker.
Flounder: Good to Excellent
Black Drum: Quite a few to my surprise
Tarpon: Good and getting better. I saw two in the creeks today. Mark Noble is the best guide in SSI for Tarpon.

David, there are a couple of us NGTOers headin' down to the vicinity fer a "Gheenoe Rally" at Crooked River at the end of Sept. Do you reckon the fishin' will still be as good then?

Great pic's, BTW. Seems lahk all them saltwater fishies have a gen'ral proclivity fer growin' bigger an' sharper teefus than our little, ol' fresh water trouties!

The guys at the marinas told us that it would get better as it cooled off a little bit. David do you think that is accurate?

The fishing will do nothing but improve from now until November/December

But it is pretty darn good right now.
