I've fished it several times and (I think) it is easier to wade from the Peachtree corners side. It is very deep on the other side and may be hard to find a place to wade out. Many people do fish from the bank though on the Roswell side.

The Peachtree Corners side/Gwinnett has free parking. IMO it has more trout holding water.

The NPS/Fulton side is $4 w/o the annual pass. To me if you get more than 6 people south of the steps it does start to feel crowded. However, that maybe more to my ADHD and inability stay put.

The bottom line is it is possible to access the whole park from either parking lot, as it is more about knowing the route (land/water) to the different areas. There are times when you can't go A to B, but have to go to C first in order to get to B.

Fish both. Until stocking begins, it will be most likely slow regardless of where you fish at JB.

JB is dead, don't bother with either side. I hear settles and IF are killing it right now.

Even though there are posts of people catching fish at JB, I think it's been fishing the slowest it has in the past 6 months... still catching fish but just not in the same numbers I was a couple of months ago.

I just started trout fishing in the spring and have a lot to learn. A couple of months ago I had great luck at Deep Hole only to be skunked last week. The water was somewhat stained the first time and crystal clear the second trip. I donít know if the water had anything to do with it, if the stockers had been fished out, or just old fashioned fishermanís luck.
