Default US Youth Fly Fishing NC Clinic

This weekend at the US Youth clinic was an absolute blast. I learned many new techniques that I hope to put use to on the water. The team managers did a great job of coordinating everything, although I wish I had much more one-on-one learning as I have a ton to improve on.

When we fished the lower part of the Nantahala by the outdoor center, I didn't have much success. Only caught some, most were wild.

On saturday we visited the upper Nantahala, which was insane. Caught close to 30, including a pretty decent sized rainbow.

There was one kid who wasn't doing so well, so I showed him a spot where I knew a lunker was. As soon as his fly hit the water, the pig took it. First thing he said was , "Help me!!". This is probably the fattest brook i've ever seen in

All in all a great weekend! Hope to attend another clinic (possibly the nationals too) and keep on improving
