Default Ahh. All is normal in the world again..

Well, my whirlwind tour of Manila is over.. Finally found time today to get out in between the generation. Found my favorite spot and proceeded to catch 2 bows pretty quickly. Then I started noticing bigger fish in the same run. They were all close together and such. I was thinking that this would be a banner day but I could not catch anymore out of the run. There must have been 30-40 or so in the run. I moved off after a while and caught a couple more trout downstream. Headed back to the run and decided to try and take a pic with my iPhone X(hell, it's water resistant).. Got the attached pic and started thinking they were all suckers? Your thoughts? Ended the day catching two more browns on the way out near Haw Creek... All-in-all a good day, except for the wind.....

Look at the mouth. looks downturned for sure. It would make sense as right now they are on their spawning runs which happen to be in similar substrate to what the browns prefer. I will defer to those with more understanding on these fish as I am just armchairing -er office chairing it for the moment. Check out the anal fin as it looks far too big comparative to a trout. Also, look at this article:
Manila looked nice though... Too bad its not cold enough for trout. If you go to Hawaii, go fish for the big bows they have!

Fish a little cream spawn pattern behind 'em.

Vancheesy will undoubtedly be out there chasing suckers. Was thumbing through the latest GA fishing regs, apparently they are protected...had no idea.

Heres some interesting stuff flyg put up last year:
We are the music-makers,
And we are the dreamers of dreams,
Wandering by lone sea-breakers
And sitting by desolate streams;
World losers and world forsakers,
On whom the pale moon gleams.

I've seen them bunched up by the 100s. Always a good fight when you do hook one.

You are quite right on the fight!

They have been the genesis of much swearing. Generally you think they're a really nice brown. And realize it's "fools gold" about halfway through the death roll!
I like em big fat and sloppy.
