Default Glutton for punishment today

I got out after the release and fished from 1:30ish to 4:00pm. Had the whole run below Haw Creek to myself. There were two boats out above me and one other fly fisherman, plus a couple of bank fisherman... All in all it was an ok day. Had fish throughout the afternoon.

The wind though.. Jeessh... Almost got blown over a couple of times. Only could dry-drop for the most part. I did throw a bugger for a bit and caught a couple on the swing...

My custom nymph pattern 'The Professor' continued to worked, thanks to Splatek16 for the idea.

Only managed one pic today...

Joe

That was me wading above the creek. Made a rare smart decision and took my 5 weight so I could fight the wind. Put close to 50 in hand in a couple of hours, which tells me they have been putting a good number of fish in. Did manage about 7 Browns in the mix.
