Good news, I think that they should come with two sets of soles, both the rubber and the felt. They are interchangeable. I could be wrong though, but I also have a pair of redsides and they have been holding up nicely. I have read some bad things about them on this board, but have yet to experience any problems. They are very comfortable in my opinion.

My Redsides came with two soles. One rubber and the other is the synthetic felt stuff.
Both soles work very well.
