I'll be down that way Oct 4-9. I'm hoping for at least 1 day that I can get out and cast a line. But this is not looking too great right now.

Exodus 29:18
Then burn the entire ram on the altar. It is a burnt offering to the LORD, a pleasing aroma, a food offering presented to the LORD. God loves BBQ!

I'm in Santa Rosa Beach just west of Panama City Beach and have been out on the beach today as well as several days over the last week. No red tide here. The water has been crystal clear and glassy as a lake. Great sight fishing although it hasn't been especially active. Had more luck in Choctawhatchee Bay and would also expect West Bay in PCB to be better than the beach.

If you do make it down, I would recommend getting in touch with John Jacob at 7wt Charters ( He covers from Destin to PCB, either bay or Gulf depending on conditions.

...don't the fish migrate up and down the coast...?

...I'd be concerned about eating my catch...
