Default Blue line birthday

My wife wants to go blue lining for her birthday, no hardcore hiking, just “pretty” small stream.
Any recommendations for guides, areas. Closest to Marietta the better- I know close is a very relative term in this case.

Shoot a PM to splatek16 or 3-wt and see where they may direct you for blue lines. Also, Big T may be able to provide guiding services. For my part, some decent semi-blue lining can be had on the upper reaches of the Chattahoochee above Helen.
If you have difficulty understanding the post above, read it out loud and it should make sense. This NGTO member is known for his poor hill-billy upbringing and his affinity for all things from Louisiana (particularly if it relates to LSU). It makes for a poor mix of accents and much difficulty in translation. He was doing well for so long, but now seems to have regressed.

There are a lot of good options up here in north Georgia. But as stated, I think that it would be hard to go wrong with the upper Chattahoochee in the WMA. Fairly easy access and beautiful water. The only problem may simply be running into other people, but if you are willing to hike just a bit you should be fine. Weekdays > Weekends, for the lack of people. If Big T isn't able to help you out on that day, give us a call at the shop and we would be happy to give you some recommendations to put you in the right direction or set up a trip. 706-878-3083

While I do like me some small stream action from time to time, and while I know I could do an adequate job guiding someone anywhere - I would defer to Ferrulewax and the guys at Unicoi Outfitters for this trip. In the future I will likely move further north and have more experience on our mountain streams but for now take advantage of their knowledge.

Also, a lot of our WMA and National Forest streams require guides to have particular permits which I know they carry.

If she changes her mind and is looking for a little bigger water let me know!

Swampy thanks for thinking of me!!

I just sent the OP a PM before noticing that this is almost a month old, and I'm guessing that the birthday has passed.
