I attended my first AFFC meeting tonight. ..Didn't really meet anyone and felt a bit young, but thoroughly enjoyed the speaker, Chris Scalley with "River Through Atlanta". He spoke at length about warm water fishing on the Hooch. I inquired about carp fishing at Bull Sluice, as I am quite intrigued... Unfortunately, I don't have a boat yet.
I was wondering, are any of you guys on NGTO members of the AFFC? What about Trout Unlimited? I plan on visiting the Upper Chattahoochee River Keepers Chapter and the Cohutta Chapter later this month.. Last edited by DavyKnot; 08-09-12 at 12:31 AM. |

Yeah, I'm a member of the Oconee River Chapter of TU (Athens, GA). Great group! Used to live in Marietta. Joined Cohutta Chapter where I was introduced to fly fishing around around 1980 or so. Enjoyed it immensely.

Did you make it to the Cohutta Chapter meeting last Thursday. Henry Cowen did a great job on carp fishing. Excellent presenter.
