Default Savannah and Augusta

I have been going to Savannah quite a bit for work-related reasons and will probably continue to do so through the Spring. I have plans to set up a guided trip for redfish soon, but I was wondering if there are independent, solo opportunities in and around both Savannah and Augusta?

Here's a map of accesses to the Savannah River Rapids near Augusta:

I've walked in a waded at The Pavillion and the Pumping Station (Eisenhower Park entrance). If you can arrange a shuttle. The float from The Pavillion to the North Augusta Boat Ramp can be very good.
LM bass, SM Bass and Redye Bass along with other mid GA fish.

Numerous places around Savannah to solo fish from banks and piers.

You can rent kayak at the Savannah Rapids. They also have a shuttle.

It's rather shallow so I'm sure you would be dragging your tube, but then again that's fishin.

You could although it would be a long float also there is about a mile of flat water after you leave the rapids to the North Augusta ramp.
