Xristos got some high-quality info publically, and no doubt more via PM.

It isn't often that the planets align in such a way that several of the very best teachers respond to an info request in such a short time period.

I think I'll save the link to this thread. And thanks to all responders.

Here's what's worked for me:

A) Go fishin' a few times using some of the tips you got off the board
B) Then, hire a guide to take you for a trip on the same waters. This is how you really learn what you've been doin' right & wrong.

If you're on the Flint, try Kent Edmonds: http://www.flyfishga.com/guide.htm
If you're on the Ocmulgee, try Randy "Riverpirate" Vining: http://www.georgiariverpirate.com/

If you're tying your own flies, check this out:

My cousin and I have done well with shoalies and most all river bass with WB's in olive, black, and orange.

Tight Lines!

That's awesome! Keep us posted on how you do! I've been wanting to get into some bass too.

Default Bass

Nothing beats topwater Bassin, except maybe topwater Stripes and Reds imo...explosive topwater action is sure to get the adrenalin juices going. This time of year I find areas with good vegetation and commence! Stealth Bombers in green and black close to the bank, and white in open water work well. Same goes for deer hair poppers and crease flies.

Hey Jim, I gave a report a while back. Here's the link:

http://www.georgia-outdoors.com/foru...ad.php?t=93950

Unfortunately, there were no top water hits that day and, lately, I haven't been getting up early enough to give it a fair shake. I'll probably get on it this weekend though
