Default Anyone Fish Don Carter State Park?

Hey ya'll

Anyone ever launch out of Don Carter State Park and fish either up or down stream from there? I'm guessing it's warm water so the species targeted would be of the bass family. I'm thinking about taking my son out there sometime during the weekend and cruise around and fish. Any advice would be appreciated.
