Default Getting chilly

After exchanging a few messages here, then via text, @maverick and me (call me goose) got out on the hooch today. More trucks in the lot than I anticipated and my suspicions were confirmed. There were anglers all over, spin and fly. It's all good.

We jumped in, still wet wading weather for me, mav got one on his first cast.

Wasn't able to get a picture of the fish, but got an "in action"shot

He was Euro/tight lining the heck outta the water. I was using a bobber/indicator, because I was too lazy to re rig from the trout hunter 18 outing.

I wasn't planning on keeping any fish for the study today, but then I hooked a nice 14" brown, so I pulled out the stringer. All the other browns were small, kept a few rainbows too. They're bagged (literally) and tagged at this point, ready to be dissected

Another great day on our awesome river with a new fishing bud.
Tight lines!

Congrats on the great trip. Did you catch them on experience again?

14" and larger browns are only caught on experience!

Are you allowed to keep any size bow and brown in the hooch?

Yup. No size limits on the hooch. Just a daily limit of 8 fish.

Yeah, no size limits across most of GA, but honestly I am not sure what one could do with those little 6-8 inchers: maybe frat party swallow them whole while still alive... chased by a few kegstands... but other than that #LetEmGoLetEmGrow

Wonder if you can use a small brown as bait for a big brown on a spinning rod?

But like you set let them go to grow bigger.
