Just catching up on this. Well done sir. I will definitely be interested to see it as you finish the interior. Have you christened it with a fish yet?

This is why I hate the question "how many hours do you have in it?" The kneeboard at first would have gone in real easy had I done it pre inwhales per plans. BUT. I'm an idiot and never made it. So about two months ago I bought some nice wide cypress and started to fit it. Promptly snuck up on the fit until it was a 1/2 inch short and when installed it wouldn't of worked anyway because the top of the board was at my shins. So there goes 50 bucks

Keep going with template after template

So anger finally brought me to the lumber yard where I spend another 80 dollars on a single 1 x 12 and decide I'll get it right in this or set the whole thing on fire. About 5 hours after I get the board cut to length I have my kneeboard. As if the time wasn't enough, there were the 20 trips up and down the house from basement shop to garage, about half of a mile of Japanese pull saw cuts to clear the gunnels up top. And the 5 million set up and take down of the guide to cut the sides with a circular saw. So yeah I don't know how many hours I have in this thing but it's way too many. And to top it off! I have no beer

Not yet. My main rower is still learning and I have no anchor so solo trips have been tough. Hoping this weekend will be it now

Hey I would not pass up the opportunity to learn drift boat control here on the Hooch myself! Fishing is only have the operation in a drift boat. Definite team effort. Have you entertained getting a trolling motor for going solo? I know it kinda bastardizes what you are going for but just a thought.

What kind of anchor are you looking for?

Anything around 20 lbs. I'm still waiting on my transom pulleys to run the line in the boat though. Plan on just using kettlebells since "drift boat" anchors cost an arm and a leg. Then you lose them and cry.
