Default Ami - Sunday 2/5

1st trip to Ami @ Hwy 53 today with Spaltek16 and another buddy. Walked up and around the 1st bend to a spot that looked good....faster seams and deeper tailout water. Fish were caught early and often as they were all stacked up in the seams....I stopped counting. Amazed at the quality of fish caught all day long (10:30a - 2:30p).

Talked to a few others as the day went by. Water level really low from what I'm told. I believe gauge was reading about 0.5 before we went out. Low and clear water helped the wading at least.

Caught most of my fish on my variation of a soft hackle hares ear on a size 16 jig hook. Didn't matter if it was the top or bottom fly. Green WB, zebra midge and an egg pattern worked also.

Today was a good day.
In that one hole I went ten for ten with my squirmagon-site in red, two more on the chartreuse and three on the tan. They were devouring those things today.
Thanks again for the invite

Darn it. I almost went to Ami today but tried my luck bass fishing at Lake Zwerner in Dahlonega. Looks like I missed out on some good fishing.
