Default Next Bucket Brigade @ White Water 2/20

It's time to teach trout how to swim free!

Monday, February 20. Usually starts by 10am, and is followed by frantic fishing for the dumbest trout you'll ever see!

Bring a 5 gal. bucket, waders, and jacket. Alternatively, bring a towel and dry clothes!

Just confirmed this event and attaching a PDF to be signed.

The stocking truck should be arriving around 10:30 am.

Be sure to bring a CLEAN 5-gallon bucket (in the past there has been concrete and lord knows what else in the buckets), waders, and a signed copy of the attached waiver release if you’re planning on attending.

Powdered wigs are optional, but we suggest bringing a rod if you want to catch a few freshly stocked trout afterwards.

These events are a great way to introduce someone new to fishing or help a youngster develop a love of the outdoors. So, if you have a child who is out of school try to bring them along!

We look forward to seeing you all on the 20th and a special thanks to everyone who came out to our Thanksgiving and Christmas stockings (no pun intended)!

Default Location Confirmation

I'm hoping to bring some "1st timers" and want to make sure I'm clear as to the location for the Brigade. This is the Palisades Whitewater Creek correct? Can I assume this address will get them there (4058 Whitewater Creek Rd NW, Atlanta, GA 3032?

Thank you!

That sounds like the correct address. I'll confirm 100% with a follow up post.

I have always wanted to do one of these, and my son, who has never caught a trout, is out of school that day - we'll be there with buckets in hand! I'm not sure which one of us will get a bigger kick out of it

One question though, how much will he be able to do without waders. I'm sure he would be happy to just follow me around and see the trout up close, but I know he would love dumping em in!

Abroyle how old is your kid?
I'm thinking about bringing my 6 year old. He looked fishing, animals, and I think he'll get a kick out of dumping them too.
I try to make it science-y/educational, but that's just my nerdiness

Lack of waders never seemed to slow my kids down. I never could understand how those skinny little bodies didn't seem to be bothered by the cold. And just assume they are going to be soaking wet by the end and be ready to bundle them up in a change of clothing when their lips start turning blue.

That's your "good parenting" advice for the day. And after a few years it does actually go without saying that, "your mother must never know of this."

Default Will be there

Planning on being there and bringing my 17 yr old All Cobb County football team lineman who will be out on winter break. (and I swore I would never be one of those bragging fathers.) Tried to get us in at Dukes next Wednesday since he was out of school for the week but of course it was full. This will be just as fun and great way to help out. Thanks.
