Default Nymphing Ain't Easy...

I Guess you could call this a lesson in nymphing. However if we would have never seen that fish I guess we wouldn't have known any better. Clear Water, full sun, Odds were in the Trout's favor here.

The water wasn't that clear, especially since that looks like one of the rivers I hit on occasion. Which if it was then there is only one or two flies that would catch a fish like that we he knows you are there. As well the angler flipping the indicator and line around bumped that fish. It would have been better the high stick the line down to the indicator, to keep drag to an absolute minimum.
Thank you, dear God, for this good life and forgive us if we do not love it enough. Thank you for the rain. And for the chance to wake up in three hours and go fishing: I thank you for that now, because I won't feel so thankful then. - Garrison Keillor
