You prefer Mrs. Mac's over the Pilot House and the Key Largo Fisheries Backyard Cafe? We are tourists. And are you going to be back down there again this year?

Wouldn't say its a "must see", but Sharky's in Key Largo has the best fish tacos Ive ever had

Big thumbs up to Blue Heaven. Love that place.

And if Mrs. Mac's Hogfish sandwich is better than the one at Fish Tales in Marathon then I must investigate this....

It's been said that, "Gatorbyte ruins everything." Well....he brought up an interesting point....if the government shuts down next week, Dry Tortugas National Park will be closed. Our trip may not happen.

(Insert profanity-laced tirade directed at Congress.)

Not necessarily. The National Parks were closed last time at the President's direction. I heard this morning that the new President is considering different options if the gov't shutdown comes to pass, not just a repeat of the last go around, so...

I like the way you think Mark.

I remember last shutdown....the Park Service couldn't close the route through GSMNP (441).....so they put up thousands of orange cones in the pullouts. They also closed theparking lot and AT at Newfound Gap Overlook. The parking lot and trail were over-run with angry tourists so the rangers backed off. If you remember this was in October at the height of tourist season. The rest of the Park was "closed."

Strategy sesh at Alabama Jacks...Key Largo.

I'm currently sitting with EG at the Lorelei in Islamorada. It was a fun but windy week in Flamingo. I jumped a few tarps, battled the snooks, and killed a few mosquitos. Met up with EG yesterday....we are working our way toward Big Pine Key where we'll base for a week....then on to the Tortugas.

Rumor has it the Gatorbyte may make an appearance along with Mike1908. I know....Gatorbyte ruins everything.

For anyone sitting in a cubicle tomorrow....check back for some fish porn...or not.
