Default Tallulah River Follow Up

Some of you guys gave me advice before I headed up to Tallulah this past weekend. We got to Clayton Thursday morning, and fished for a little while and didn't see one single fish at all. That Friday I wasn't really thinking I'd catch anything, but I thought it was odd because it was pretty packed and we drove upstream and guess what, they were stocking the river. Pretty cool to watch even though my girlfriend didn't like them throwing them in. Well she's actually not my girlfriend anymore since I proposed to her that morning when we started fishing. I was having trouble trying to use my fly fishing stuff for the first time and wasn't having any luck so I just used my spinning gear. I ended up catching two in all. One Friday and one Saturday. I also hiked up Coleman River, didn't see anything there either. Here's a couple of pics if I can figure out how to post them.

You caught fish - excellent! And, I totally thought you were going in another direction with your comment about your girlfriend - who didn't like them throwing the fish in the river - not being your girlfriend anymore. I thought you were going to say that you put her in the shotgun and blew her out for not being in line with your fishing views. Boy was I off.

Proposed on a stream. Very cool. Congratulations man!

You free next Saturday morning? If so, come on out to the TU Rabun chapter's Fly Fishing 101 clinic. About five hours of instruction that'll help you put more and bigger fish in your net for $25. You can't beat it.

Appreciate it everyone, also I got checked for my
fishing license when I went. Kinda surprised me, because I feel like I've seen on here where people have said they haven't been checked up there in awhile. Funny thing was is that as soon as he came up behind me I just so happened to catch the rainbow in the first pic.

Congrats on the fish you caught. I love the Tallulah. Can't wait to get back up there this spring.
