Not to worry EG, the heat is off us for now. John McCain just called Kim Jong "that crazy fat kid running North Korea" during a TV interview and the NK's are pissed and threatening war.

I am not kidding, google it!

It gets better:

Quote:
Sen. John McCain went nuclear against North Korea, in a manner of speaking.

The Arizona Republican’s verbal put-down of dictator Kim Jong Un earlier this month – “this crazy fat kid” – was met with a stiff, angry response from the communist regime, which warned McCain of dire consequences to follow.

“As such guys as John McCain and [Sen.] Ted Cruz made a provocation tantamount to declaration of war against the [Democratic People’s Republic of Korea], the DPRK will take steps to counter it,” said an official DPRK statement, published by the Korean Central News Agency. “They will have to bitterly experience the disastrous consequences to be entailed by their reckless tongue-lashing and then any regret for it will come too late.”

McCain, in a Wednesday Tweet, responded: “What, did they want me to call him a crazy skinny kid?”
NK is one weird place. And sad....

ETA: This photo speaks volumes about the differences between North and South Korea:

They are going green. We should implement that here.

Well, another NK missile test launch fails. Nonetheless, Emperor Twinkies seems pleased with the progress they are making.

But all kidding aside, Kim Jung dough-boy is really pushing his luck here. I predict some serious first strike excrement going down soon if he keeps this up.

Things are definitely heating up but I doubt anything will happen. The sentiment in NK about the tyrant is pretty bad but can't do much when you're literally shot if you even make fun of him. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...ader-joke.html

Also, their only real ally, China, will make sure that they don't do anything stupid. http://nymag.com/daily/intelligencer...ainst-war.html

However, if there is anything we know about NK, they are unpredictable and that worries me. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/debate/ar...g-suicide.html

Also, the fact that I am in LA for another month before I come back for the summer makes me worried bc we are his first target. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/wo...-a7545011.html

Default A Dangerous Chubster!

As someone mentioned, the unpredictability of this character is his most frightening aspect. He's like a little kid who craves attention so he does something "bad" just to get noticed. There seems to be a thread of connectivity between all the world news talking about the Middle East or Europe and not mentioning N.Korea (or Japan, Viet Nam, etc) and then he does something to get everybody to look his way. The best way to keep his finger off the nukes is to have one news story daily on the Chubster just so he knows someone is looking. Meanwhile we can hope that someone inside NK will eliminate him. China won't help BTW.

Speaking of the Chubster, anybody see the opening bit last night on SNL? That was funny!

Assuming we did manage a regime change, how long would it take to deprogram the entire country?

That is an interesting question. I am sure he has his loyalist. But I would like to believe that many more would erupt with joy once they had even a tiny taste of freedom. But we thought the same thing would happen in Iraq so hard to say. It is human nature to want to be free and that is a very powerful force.
