Default Junior naturalist

After catching a bunch of panfish and some smaller bass using poppers on the tenkara we strolled down a trail to find this run off drain with some local "wildlife" activity.

He wanted to take pictures.
We saw that blue heron eat three fish but couldn't catch it on film once. My six year old took all the pictures, except the one of his back above. He was stalking that bird, until it finally had enough and took off. He got a pic of it taking off and he was very proud of the "reflection picture"

And some geese and their young

Then the rain dropped and we took off.

Wow! The last heron pic is Audubon contest material. The youth division is ages 13 - 17.
