Default Paddling a new yak....

I just bought my first yak, a Perception Striker 11.5.I read reviews, watched youtube videos, and went with the Striker. It came with an anchor and a Scotty rod holder. I bought an aftermarket seat, and I'm getting it rigged and set up this weekend. I have a couple of life jackets with my boat that I can use until I can regroup financially and get a paddlers vest.
What do you paddlers recommend for a fishing/paddling vest?

Then burn the entire ram on the altar. It is a burnt offering to the LORD, a pleasing aroma, a food offering presented to the LORD. God loves BBQ!

Congrats on the purchase- It will be hard to go back to "regular" fishing now. I recently joined the ranks a few months ago and it opened up new places I couldn't even think about going before. I got this one on sale a few months back, but I barely notice I have it on while on the river, and can keep some essential gear close. Bonus, I use when I wade up at the dam.

I love my NRS Chinook! Has a high back for kayak seats, plenty of pockets and a built in bungee for your nippers!

My biggest worry is that when I'm dead my wife will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it. ~Koos Brandt

It certainly changed my life. As for a vest. Look at the ExtraSport EON Angler.
