Default On the Flats

Had one of those days yesterday, the water was clear and still. Visibility was just incredible. I was seeing fish a 100' plus away. Using the trolling motor I was able to angle my approach to get into casting position but it did take about 70' cast to get a take from one of them .
Lost count of all the Reds I spotted.
Had many followers, 4 eats, and put three in the net .
If you're into throwing long cast and tight loops check out Sunray lines from the UK. I'd trade all my high dollar RIO lines for Sunray lines if I could.
Also check out my new rig! A Santee, this little thing is the ticket, has a 20hp on it and hits 28 mph no sweat and runs skinny. Pretty sure the low profile help keep from spooking Reds over my other bay boat, it might go up for sale (bay boat).

It's very similar and that was what I originally looked for. Couldn't quite find a used one like I wanted and the build out on Gheenoe was a long wait. Believe I made a better buy. These come out of Tn.
Thanks I love the thing so far!

Corrected post above one more time with pics! Maybe you saw them maybe you didn't. I don't know what the heck. Cool thing that was much easier than Photobucket

Nice. Intrigued by the front casting platform on the new rig. Do you have a photo without the trolling motor in the way? Did you install or do you know who made it?

Thanks.

Thanks.
That came from right there in the Great state of Georgia. I bought that and the grab bar from the same outfit.
Google Fishmasters it will pop right up! You can buy it with or with out the sissy bar. At my age I opted for little extra to grab on to .
I mounted it, very simple to do.

I love the way their tails turn blue when they "light up"

I'm with you on that! I was disappointed in the pic that I had not spread it out a bit more! Always in a hurry to get them back in. They lay so docile on deck you think their done until they hit the water and immediately take off .
