Default Blood mountain roads

Heading up to blue ridge tonight hoping to fish the toccoa tomorrow. Y'all know if they're salting 19 over the mountain? Don't want to drag the boat up there if not. Thanks

I think you should make alternative plans. We have about six ins and it's still snowing. Even though they are plowing they will freeze back tonight. Some locals have posted photo's and the roads are hazardous at this time.

my experience with FS roads and most mountain roads is that they wait until things are safer to start clearing.
Admittedly, I don't have much experience, but I'm with narco - I would make alternative plans.

bum,
I went up last night thinking this was non event. Woke up this morning with 1" on ground at 6:00am. By the time I decided to head home it was 8:30 and almost 3". Roads were not very good on way back above dawsonville.

I think I would stay home with wife and snuggle or something else.

Yeah we're leaving in about an hour sans boat. Probably going to use 52 instead of 19

52 at 10 this morning already had 2"-3" of slush north of dawsonville to Ellijay. Stay in the ruts and use 4wd. Good luck and have fun.

Good choice as 19/129 is closed to all traffic.
