Will be interesting to see what happens to Nick Foles now? Backup QB to leading the team through playoffs and now a Super Bowl MVP. I think his stock just went up.

I would say on the NFL Stock Exchange Nick Foles stock is about reached its peak. Good game, happy to see the Eagles win. They were one of the teams the players did not chose to show a lack of respect for the flag and national anthem. Of course, if they had their fans may have killed them.

I'm gonna go out on a limb for Philly.

It was very close, but I would agree that the first of the two reviewed Philly TD's should probably have been reversed. But the second one was clearly a TD. The receiver had full and clear possession of the ball well before the end zone and took three full steps before stretching the ball to break the plane. At that point, the reception was a done deal and he was now a runner with the football. Thus, the micro-second the tip of the football broke the plane of the endzone line, it was a touchdown. What happened after that is of no consequence.

I was actually quite surprised at the low number of penalties. I think the refs were told/encouraged to let them play.
I agree the calls ob the first td were suspect, but you need overwhelming evidence to overturn. The rules are crazy. Personally, I thought he had possession and was moving to a better grip, the first time I saw, but angles showed the ball moving.

That being said I'm take one call that goes our way and the pats.
I mean, tyre red want celebrating with them afterward bahaha

The first td call people are complaining about was correct. Even after the double clutch his foot that hit the line came down inbounds first on the outside edge before the toes came down on the line. It was odd and probably only one cleat, but that counted as two feet in bounds even after the bobble.

I'd say the New Orleans folks are trolling us:

The TD call where he "fumbled" after going into the end zone after catching the ball and taking several steps was dead on. The other one close and considering the speed with which these thing happen and lack of clear evidence to the overturn should have stood as call. The Pats need to pay for the "tuck rule" call of several years ago.
