Are the Cortland tapered leaders worth a darn?

Thanks

I've fished quite a good bit with a Cortland Climax leaders without any problems. The ones I have have a yellow color that I am not fond of, but add don some tippet and the fish haven't seemed to mind. I believe the climax leaders have "evolved" into the precision trout leaders.

I have not used the fairplay leaders (at walmart)

The Climax would certainly be considered better quality than the Fairplay, but I once picked up a basket full of Fairplay at Walmart @ .25/each. They tend to coil and kink more than expensive leaders, but for backyard pond fishing they work out just fine.
