Fished IF today for a while--some good news--I took the water temp: 60 degrees!!
Also noted that the weeds are MUCH heavier than in the past. Must be due to lawn run-off(all that fertilizer). And being very observant, I also noticed how shallow the water was. Seems to be common during the week this year. Florida's gettin' mad! Trailblazer. |

TB,
I have had the good fortune to be able to fish IF several times in the past two weeks, and can vouch that the water is still very cool considering the amount of hot sun we have had. I also noticed the marked increase in the mass of "green strings" this year. They are a huge PITA, grabbing feet, fouling fly line, and making nymphs disappear. I have caught at least ten fish every time I have gone, with some very nice fish that do not appear to be freshly stocked. RScott |
