Received an E-mail from a friend of my daughters re a postal stamp that costs .40 instead of .34. The .06 cents difference goes to breast cancer research. Now, guys, that's easy...just buy and use those stamps until they run out and you will be helping out your mothers, your sisters, your daughters, your girl friends and your friends who are female. They are at your local PO. Tight Lines, Tom

As a member of the board of my local chapter of the American Cancer Society I have to say I agree.... spend the extra cents, Guys. In the last 11 years I have had my share of friends, family and employees affected by cancer. Remember, if you feel that it only happens to "someone else"..... we are all "someone else" to someone else. As a friend, daughter, and employer I can't thank you enough.

Thanks for the information. I thought it was always "someone else" for a long time until I saw it effect several friends and now my own family. On my way to the Post Office at lunch and would encourage everyone else to do so as well... ------------------ Card carrying Native Texan! |

Same here - lost my grandma to an abdominal cancer of some sort several years back. But, on the bright side, my mom is a breast cancer SURVIVOR and has been cancer-free for 4 or 5 years now. The extra few cents are definitely worth it!
