Hi Guys,
I just wanted to say it was really great to meet so many of you today at the FFF. It was good to put names to faces and just chew the fat. God bless, Tom A

Working the NGTO booth today for the Fly Fishing Show was a lot of fun. I want to thank all the NGTO guys for stopping by. It was nice to see familiar faces, as well to met new ones. We handed out lots of our NGTO flyers, as well as DNR Trout Stream Maps. I can't count how many people said that they didn't post but they read our message board daily. And that they felt it was the best location for the best info on trout fishing in North GA.

Just to pass on some info I gathered today. BTW, I'm just passing on info not indorsing.
1. Guy Firor from the "Dam Store" says he's greatly increased his fly fishing supplies, so if your at the dam and need something he's right there. Also he will be renting Float tubes for fly fishing.
2. For us that go to Cherokee NC fishing, CCS fly fishing is moving to 441 across from the Indian Museum into a larger store.
3. The Callaway fly Fishing Trip Special for NGTO's is a great bargain for 2 people at 92.50 each (inc equipment), there is a banner on our front page for more info.
4. Chattahooghee Trailwater Trout Fishing Tournament will be May 17th at Cochron Shoals Park and ends at Paces Mill Park. Contact c.t.g.s.@ adelphia.net for further details. Sounds like fun.

Great to see "Fire Walker" walking around again.
Enjoyed meeting Josh and watching him tie those #32 BH nymphs. oh to have sharp eye's and not so fat fingers. Finally, I believe there will be more new folks clicking into NGTO so let's make sure we welcome them, give them the best info we can, and maybe well see them at our next event.

Nice meeting all of you at the show today. I appreciate all of your help and comments. I enjoyed tying at the NGTO booth, and hope to do so next year. The show is well worth it.

Good to meet you guys - Tom & Josh. Good to see Mike again.

Lots of old friends and lots of new faces, lots of good, useable info, lots of stuff to play with, lots of stuff to buy!

Unfortunately, lots of rain really dumped on my fishing plans...

I thought this was the best show yet.

Somebody asked me to mention that I put a "comments" thread for the Atlanta Fly Fishing Expo in the "NGTO Projects" forum that folks may not have seen. I'll send that off to Mark Catlow in a few days.

Please speak up there if you have reasonable ideas that you think would make the show better or simply want to reaffirm what somebody else has previously said.

I wanted to thank all of the folks that helped man the NGTO booth at the show.

Formally, I saw B983, Mike Smith, Josh Barnett, Mark Karacek, GUTHOOKED, Tom A, Korn Dunker, FlyAway and Ivan man the booth. Narwhal stopped by (and I think skibum also) but there wasn't room to fit everybody (That's a good thing!). Informally, several other folks stopped by and helped as well. Thanks to them also.

Although I guess we get some PR out of the show, essentially, we get the opportunity to do there what we do here. That is, give out good, useful info to people that are interested in trout fishing.

I personnally enjoy getting to put faces with names. At this show I got to actually verify that Josh Barnett isn't one of those 43-year old internet posers.

I again kiddingly pursued Lefty Kreh about being a speaker at an Atlanta function. Any Atlanta function. He again politely declined. His schedule is simply too busy. Yet, even when there was a line waiting for autographs, he would take the time to flirt with the girls, show interest in the kids and talk fishing with the guys. He seems like a genuine class act.

If folks are interested again, we'll try and set this up again next year.
