That's a new one on me "satolah" isn't on my maps: Check here for a list of NC trout streams. http://www.kbrcomm.com/ncfish/Mountain_Trout.html

Good luck, you might want to ask the guy at the land o sky chapter of TU

Satolah is not a creek, it is a community in NE Rabun County along Highway 28, about 7 miles south of Highlands. A few houses, a fire house station, and that's about it. No gas stations or country stores. Big Creek runs through Satolah, but don't waste your time there. It is mostly on private land and it is also severly impacted by sediment from roads and cows pastures.
Check out the Cullasaja (pronounced Cull-ah-say-gee) River between Highlands and Franklin along Highway 64. Easy access and very scenic.

There is a flyshop in Cashiers. Sorry, don't know the hiway #, but if you leave Cashiers headed for Lake Toxiway they are just out of town on the right. They have a printed sheet for customers that lists public water and directions. Also if you want to drive into Hendersonville, NC, there is good fishing and several outfitters/flyshops. Good luck!
