Has anyone purchased anything from Discount Fly Fishing lately? Early Dec.I ordered a new reel (Okuma)from them and confirmation saying it was shipped UPS standard. I haven't recieved the reel nor will they answer my request for a UPS tracking #. Also, there's no phone # to contact anyone at DFF. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I seem to recall emailing them with a complaint. I too ordered a reel a few months ago and experienced a delay.
One thing you might consider, if they are really giving you the run around, is to contact your credit card company. They can put a flag on that transaction. This has to be done within a month of the purchase date though. This way you won't get stuck paying for an item you don't receive. (I took this one from Clark Howard) They may also be able to get some answers for you.

If there is any way you can cancel that order, you can get a far better deal from WorldWaters (see NGTO homepage) on Okuma. They have sold out the large model, but still have the Sierra 4/5 under "closeouts", "reels". The Sierra 4/5 is $34.50 + free shipping, + free backing, + free set up for your winding hand. Add $5 if you want 3 day air ship. They e-mail you about the backing and wind side before shipping. I see Okuma Sierra has shown up in the new Cabelas catalog as a Cabelas "Prestige" model, but they want $50 + s/h. It has also appeared as a Bass Pro "Hobbs Creek" model-$40, in their new catalog.

I heard through the grapevine they had a fire which destroyed their records and had their network go down. May have something to do with it.

DFF doesn't show a phone # and if their web is down I don't know how you would cancel. I contacted my bank and they don't show a transaction for that amount, but that doesn't mean they won't run it through later. Just got back from the Ami, what a beautiful day.
