How many people THINK they would be interested in atending monthly fly tying club meetings/socials during the fall and winter months. Please specify if you would attend the ATL area meetings or the Athens area meetings in your reply.

I would be interested in getting together with some folks to tie, but it would need to be somewhere on the NE side of town.

Problem with folks like me is between wife, kids, soccer, work, and life, things like clubs and such can be hit or miss.

Would love to learn how to tie better.

I am fairly new to this board. Is this via invitation only, or for anyone interested in fly tying? I am not new to fly fishing, but have never tied flies, and would love to learn. Jason, off and on for the last 18 months or so different folks - Josh especially - have tried to get something going along these lines.

Like JB RR says, with all the other things going on, plus folks spread out all over town, finding a convenient place and all, we have not had much success, but we keep trying.

Like most things that get put on the board, it's open to whoever is interested.

Maybe this time something will come together even if it's just a one time deal.

Atlanta Fly Fishing Club has a group that gets together usually on the Wednesday the week after they have their monthly meetings. I've been able to make it a couple of times and it was good.

If you are looking for a chance to meet some folks, try to make it to Dreamlands on the 23rd and keep an eye out for the Fall Fling.

Where exactly is Dreamlands in Roswell? I am planning to show and bring my ffing bud. Where do you buy the raffle tickets...there? I look forward to meeting everyone. Q and brew sounds good, how about some good bourbon? Please post more details as I am new to this board. Many thanks!

I would be interested in attending, atleast when it's possible, around the metro Atlanta area. I think it's a great idea if you can get enough people to fill out the meeting each month. Like everyone, there are so many things going on, including business travel, that it can be tough to commit. Anyway, count me in as an interested party...just can't guarantee I'd be able to make every meeting. Please feel free to email me.
