It looks like several NGTO'ers are having physical setbacks lately(Broken bones, etc.). I suddenly developed some chest discomfort and a couple of days later I was having an angioplasty and a metal "stent" put in a main artery. Just missed a heart attack apparently. But the plumbing is fixed and I'm back thinkin' 'bout trout again! This kind of thing gives new meaning to "so many trout-so little time!
On fly tying lamps-I have used one of those crane necked round fluorescent lamps that has a magnifying glass in the center-it's great and doesn't heat up. On egg flys--they are especially good on rainbows. Browns (IMHO) are not as interested in eggs. Got a pair of Cabela's $70 Kevlar wading shoes. So far they're great-and you can't shoot yourself in the foot! Trailblazer |

Hey blazer. Sorry to hear bout yer poor heart. Too many monstor trout will do that to ya.
Glad, though, that you missed the heart attack. THose are bad news all around. Lost my Dad and a grandmother to em. BTW - your right about the browns for sure...they could care less about the eggs. In my experience, they could almost care less about anything. Usually, I try to tempt them with streamers or large BHSH's. ( thanks to Rod) Get well dude. Owl |
