what has happened to the hooch? i fished below the dam and at island ford this past weekend for the first time in a year and a half. i can't believe how nasty the river has become. up at the dam there is a half inch thick brown, slimy, smelly film on every piece of structure in the river. at island ford the crud on the bottom sent an odor of pure sewage through the air. i don't know if my waders will ever be the same. i caught several at both places, but this can't be good for them. i saw the article regarding lake lanier--guess the life of the hooch will parallel that of lanier. it's a shame. the float was not as enjoyable as it was the last time. i'm wondering if we can stop this travesty from happening?
