I highly recommend Jerry Barnes out of Blue Ridge. He knows the Toccoa and the Jacks Rivers very well. He is very knowledgable and patient. He is a high school coach, so he has good teaching skills.

His phone number is 706.258.4530
e-mail is troutman@ellijay.com

Tell him that Chipley sent you.

James Buice is a knowledgable guide in north GA. He's a member of NGTO and a very nice fellow to boot.

Don't know if I would take a "professionally" guided trip on the Jacks River. For some strange reason the Forest Service in Georgia won't issue guide permits for wilderness areas. Any guided trip on the Jacks would, therefore, be illegal and the participants subject to arrest. Just thought you would want to know.
