Question

Anyone ever fish smaller soft plastic bait on a flyrod say on an 8wt? Thinking about putting a little glue on the hook shank and letting the rubber bait dry to it and then fishing it if needed.
I have a Orvis line that is loosing it float but is still in good shape. I was thinking about connecting a short section of lead line to the tip to use for a sinking line, will this work or does it sound like it may be worth a try?
