Thumbs up

Being from Tampa originally, I grew up fishing saltwater, mostly inshore.

I miss the days of casting a gold spoon into football field size schools of redfish and tossing Greenback Bombers under lighted docks at 1:00am for stacked snook. I remember fishing the Skyway Pass for triple digit tarpon in July and bottom bouncing selects in the bomb holes at Ft. Desto park for gators (or a bonus ling) in the winter.

I used to share some of my honey holes with the uninvited porpoise and the more welcomed feeding manatees. Mostly though, it was just me and the always friendly pelican begging for my throwbacks.

Man I miss Florida......I need a vacation!

I started to do some redfish chasing this summer and fall in HHI area. I have only caught a few. I pretty much suck at it.

However, I really want to learn.

i do as much as humanly possible. redfish, trout, tarpon, flounder, and stripers are the typical targets. also make a few seasonal trips to chase cobia.

Funny you say that Capt. It was both! Actually, I moved to Atlanta after spending 2 years in the USVI's. So, it HAD to be both a woman AND a job to make me leave there!

FISH....I'm planning a trip to Tierra Verde (St. Pete) in February (14-17th). It's a stones throw from Ft. Desoto.

Interested????

Salt Rules! I've been FFing since I was 12 but only for the last 4 yrs in the salt. I love fishing skinny water out of a kayak for reds. Getting towed around. Mainly NE Florida and Beaufort/Hilton Head - wanna learn Cape San Blas and Mosquito Lagoon bad!

There's plenty of salters in here, Capt! Some of us just lurk until we can get away to fish the mountains.
