Default Noontootla Fishing

Drove up to the Blue Ridge WMD twice over the past week for a little Noontootla Fishing. My son in law and I got a late start on Friday, Dec 24th and only spent a coupla hours on the water. He was spin fishing and I was nymphing. I had two fish on my hook, but both wiggled off before I could land them. They both seemd to be good size.

On Sunday we drove up there a little earlier and spent four hours on the creek. I caught and released two wild 10" rainbow. They were very pretty.

I am considering a return trip there on Thursday or maybe I'll head up to the Chatooga. Any suggestions?

Not really into pounding the stockers at Smiths, so I've been thinking about trying the Toot. Never been there but hear it's nice.

What patterns were you using?

Might make it up that way tomorrow or Thursday.

Thanks.

Default Noontootla

Speaking of the "Toot"..What's the word on how much land Unicoi has worked out to use for guided water..Also, where is the public access area? Thanks
