The Oconee River Chapter of Trout Unlimited would like to invite you to our July Chapter Meeting on the evening of July 18, 2005 at 6:00 PM at Logan's Roadhouse off of the Atlanta Highway in Athens, Georgia.
I have booked Mack Martin, Jr., President of UCCTU and FFF Certified Casting Instructor and Ray Gentry to present on their many trips to Kodiak Island in Alaska. This is a two part presentation, started by Mack Martin with a video of not only the fishing in Alaska, but the beautiful scenery-- and some awesome footage of the big bears they encounter. In the second half of the presentation, Ray Gentry will share special tactics, flies, and techniques used by the group of grizzly fly fishermen in the Alaskan wilderness. You DO NOT want to miss this. The presentation will begin promptly around 7:00 PM. I have a special offer for NGTO Members-- There will be a planned tying session for those of you interested, however you do have to book your spot and let us know that you will be there for sure. You can either bring your gear and tie along with Mack and Ray or just come to watch-and-learn. If you are interested and can absolutely be there please call me. Otherwise I will assume you are not coming and tell Mack and Ray to come at a later time. There will be a max. limit of 12 participants in the tying session. We hold a raffle at each of our meetings. The funds go to the UGA Fisheries Endowment that our Chapter sponsors. Please bring raffle items. Keep in mind, these do not have to be fly fishing products-- anything goes. However, your specialty flies always seem to be a big hit. I hope to see everyone on July 18, 2005. If you think you can make it, please post here. Just for a headcount. Joshua Barnett

I'm a member of TU, but not that chapter. However, I just moved to Athens last week to work at GON, and was wondering what the local chapter fee is for ORC. Thanks, David Cannon

I do not believe we have a local Chapter Fee (LCF) for the Oconee River Chapter. However, I could be wrong. Both of our chapter presidents are at Yellowstone Park right now, away from any means of contact. As soon as they return I will get back to you on the LCF.
Otherwise, I hope to see you next Monday! You do not want to miss this. Joshua Barnett
