Default Burton Fishing Report

From Anthony Rabern @ Burton Hatchery.

You never know what you are going to catch when fishing Lake Burton! EJ and Pat Crow from Dahlonega were fishing Lake Burton on Sept. 2nd. It was a sunny, yet cool morning as the couple trolled spoons at 60-feet deep. A few hours later, they had landed three 16-inch brown trout and one 9 lb wallye. Not a bad way to spend a day!

Because of all the summer rainfall, there is an expansive amount of coolwater habitat in Lake Burton. It has been a difficult year for trout anglers to locate fish because they are widely scattered all over the lake. Based on the success of EJ and Pat Crow, it appears that trout are hanging out in 50 to 60-feet of water. Hope that little tip helps!
