Default I want to catch a tripletail sightfishing.

Ted,

Could you share a "when", a general "where" (if that is sensitive info) and if it was caught sight-fishing the surface?

I ask because I think of triple tails as being a spring time fish and here it is mid-fall. Are they migrating in the opposite direction this time of year?

Default Ssshhhh.....

Well, EG, I CAN say that is was an early August fish, felt like a doormat, and was caught near an estuarine area of GA coast. Without incurring the wrath of my companions (the one in the picture with me, the one who took the picture and the one who owns the boat) I will say that we had a specific location in mind to try and find fish although they have been randomly encountered on the surface by some people. I think that may be more common. We were actually out to scout tarpon that day and got lucky.

I think he was lucky the day he waded on a sinking sand bar and caught sharks!

Default Man-Up Time

seems when I hit the salt with certain people, it isn't play time.

we only seem to go back in with high waves, or when someone is bleeding (or when it absolutely is past when we told sig others that we would be back in). I don't pass up invites by those with SW trolling motors and pogy-worthy livewells too often though.

and they were little sharks anyway.

I usually can't bring flyrods though, you would think there were bananas or something.
