Default Trout Haven Cabin?

My friends and I are planning our fourth annual Winter Trout excursion to North Georgia. The requirements are generally to find a cabin on a stream with big trout sometime in February.

We've stayed at the Dogwood Riverside Inn in the past, and Hiawassee River Trout Lodge last year. Without ruling those out, we're looking into other options.

I've seen some reference to Trout Haven cabin on Fightingtown Creek. Has anyone stayed here, and can you provide a report on the fishing? Any other suggestions are welcome, keeping in mind that we can't afford Brigadoon on the Soque.

Please feel free to e-mail: rlockwood@wilmerlee.com

Thanks.

Robert

Check out Noontootla Creek Farms at:

http://www.ncfga.com/

They have a nice, simple farmhouse across the street from their private stretch of the Noontootla. This is the only private water I fished, and I had the time of my life.

They also have a skeet shooting range down the street that may be fun if ya'll have shotguns.

Default Also try Smithgall Woods

They have a lodge at Smithgall and it's pretty reasonable. It also has some private water.
